Changing names?

I wish to change Kings and Generals names on both the Viking and Danish faction. But everytime I've tried things have gone wrong. The first time for example, when I tried changing the king name Cnut into Halfdan, I ended up with this result when trying to play: (??? Cnut ???). And the other time when I tought I had done it totally right, I changed a lot of names and ended up with all the name fields left blank, on every single general.

Greetings Odinn, to make your name changes is quite simple, choose the slot of an existing name you wish to change in Loc/ Eng/ Names file, you will see 2 entries
["Odinn"] and {"Odinn"}*Example only
Make your change in the second set of brackets only
["Odinn"] to {"Thor"}*Example only
so when the game starts it will read the Odinn as the label but will translate to the game as Thor, be sure not to upset the tabs/spaces or you will get tranlsation errors, and be sure to back up your files before changing.
Also in MTW VI you can add entirely new names via the Heroes file, see the file heading for details...LOS
