English GA later on

I'm considering what faction to play next, and I'm thinking of the English.

Can anyone tell me if they get any interesting GA goals further down the road?
I like the 'economy' goals best really, as they are a change from the battles which you will be fighting anyway.

So do the english have things like build the Krak des Chevaliers, build a Cathedral in province X, etc etc ?

If I remember correctly, they get points for subduing Scotland, the wool monopoly and for still claiming lordship over their continental possessions (Plantagenet claims). There may be more, but I can't recall at the moment, definitely no building GA though, I think.

They get Rhodes as a Homeland at some point too which is fairly interesting I think.

Not that I have exactly played lots of factions at GA, but I think the English probably have about the most varied of them all.

I think the Germans have the coolest GA goals. HOmelands are tough to defend, Hanseatic league isn't easy to put together, and then you've got to suppress the Hussites http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
