Crusade

I'm playing as the Danes and for some reason I can't build crusades. I've never played as them before so I don't know if it's a feature of the game, but I assumed, as they're catholic that I could build them. It's quite late on in the game (relative to usually building crusades). I have a fortress in Denmark, a church, a monastery and a reliquary (the last two of which shouldn't be needed to get a chapter house). What's wrong? Might it be to do with the fact that I recently got a new computer and reinstalled the game and haven't yet patched it?

you cant build chaptherhouse as Danes, poles, hungarians, and aragonese, although i think that if you capture a province with a chapterhouse, you can build crusades.

I've never been able to build cruades with the danes - sorry. There are mods out there who can help you though.

Humanplayer cannot build crusades if playing Poles, Hungarians, Danes or Aragones. But I guess that AI could?
I´v seen that at least Poles, Hungarians and Aragones have sent crudades, and Aragones from theyr original province.. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif I was playing Byz G.A campaing at Late.

The Hungarians and danes can't Crusade becuz historically they never played a big part in them, according to Ca that is. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Pretty strange http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-huh2.gif . I've never seen them do that and I never had Chapter houses as a building option when playing them.

Nor Sicilians can train crusades.

The Danes, Poles and Hungarians can never build Crusades. It is impossible to conquer a province and retain any building that it is NOT possible for your faction to build, so they can never capture a Chapter House.

Another way to verify this is to check who can get the Crusade units;
Order Foot - Aragonese, English, French, HRE, Italians, Spanish, Sicilian
Teutonic Knights & Sergeants - HRE
Knights Hospitaller - Italians
Knights of Santiago - Spanish, Aragonese
Knights Templar - English, French, Sicilian

No mention of the Danes, Poles or Hungarians.

I've seen Poles, Hungarians, and Sicilians launch crusades in my UNMODDED game. Aragonese too. The question asked was "Why can't I build Crusades as the Danes?"

I answered which human controlled factions can. I made no comments about what the AI can or cannot do. Saying the AI controlled Polish and Hungarians built them in a game, even UNMODDED, in no way addresses what was asked.
