I'm still not sure why you can't see them though.

The wrong colour maybe but not see them.

Which shields exactly are you talking about these ones?

What directories do I need to update etc... Cant seem to get it to work.

Battles are OK but the campaign keeps crashing

Here are all the folders with shields in, and flags too.

Battle/Flags
campamp/Shields (Remember to edit the files in /colour also)
campmap/peices/Units
Textures/campmap/CastleFlags

Thats where all the shield and flag images are which is where you need to go to edit all of them. I believe thats what you were asking, if not forgive me as I have read your question incorrectly.

dont forget Textures\campmap\PrebatShields

is this a change to e pre-existing faction?
or a new faction?

if a new faction is it for medieval campaign?
or an expansion campaign?

different locations and naming conventions depending on what the altered flags are for

Hi barocca,

Yes I found that out last night as it crashed as I was about to do battle http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

But ive got it working now.

Its for a new faction for my 100 years war mod. The first one im working on is Brittany. Currently im making it as a medieval campaign type event.

I.E it has its own maps and startup files.

As far as I can tell, it works, I just need to do a bit more testing to make sure I have covered everything
