Has anyone seen any info on this game? All I've seen are a couple of screenshots at the developers website, but I want to know more Looks like a mix between Civilization and MTW but in Greece. It might help the wait till RTW comes out http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Based on their two previous games, Legion (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/legion/index.html)and Chariots of War (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/chariotsofwar/index.html) I don't think it will be very good.

IMHO, nothing can reach the TotalWar series...

And if one looks closely, all other games that bear the title strategic or tactical in relation to historical recreation, fall very short of STW, MTW or eventually RTW.

This is IMO due to several very important diferentiating factors:

-TW's battle engine, together with camera restriction, field of view, etc...
-Not too excessivelly complex Strategic Map, construction and training options (quite the opposite of management games like the CIV series).
-Complete focus on real-world tactics (attack & defense bonuses, altitude, encirclement, morale, etc...).
-Ambience (no company can, IMO, match CA in their attention to detail and historical research).

Those characteristics, all put together, are the determining factors in making the TW series unequaled... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

For me, there's only one other RTS series, in a very different setting, that reflects the same type of imagination, drive and inovation. The Homeworld series...
