I've not seen this mentioned yet, but I got my Computer Gaming World magazine today and inside was a beautiful "Rome Total War Limited Edition 2004 Calendar". It is a typical wall calendar with the the top page a screeshot from the game (all are battle screens) and the bottom page the days and weeks of the month. The days are numbered normally and also with Roman numerals. In addition to US/Canadian holidays, it also includes Roman holidays & festivals such as the "Festival of Jupiter" on November 12. Underneath each month a different unit is pictured (small) and briefly described.

About half the screen shots I've already seen, but I haven't been following all the screenies so maybe there is nothing new there. Overall, it is a very nice insert and a pleasant surprise too. I showed it to my 11 year old son who thought it was pretty cool too - so much so that he asked me "Are you going to use it?" http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I don't know, but you might want to check out gaming magazines in the UK for a similar insert.

seeing we have a CA office right here in Brisbane i would hope for a version here as well,
just remember to print the days upside down, we are antepodean here after all...

I was surprised when this great calendar fell out of the wrapper. It's the best insert CGW has ever done and I've subscribed since the '80s. The marketing people have really pulled out the stops for this game. Somebody at CA or Activision had one hell of a good idea.
