is there anyway to mod the game so that the AI does nothing for certain factions.

i'm guessing this has been posted before but i can't find it by searching.

thanks

well i don't think you can turn off the AI for a specific faction but you can turn it off for all factions using -ian or C just add them to the command line then press I in the campaign to turn off ai

ah cool.

see if i went into the file (dunno which one) and changed the factions AI behavior would that do in a way to turning it off? like make it really dumb? do u know which behavior setting is the one that would cause the AI to be most "dumb" and not make as many moves?

thanks

jagmaste: I havn't tried this but you could change the behaviour to rebel. This would mean that they dont attack anyone and dont build anything.

Or you could change it to CATHOLIC_ISOLATIONIST, again not sure of the exact behaviour but try experimenting and seeing what happens.
Let us know what you find though http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

hiya,

ur discription of "rebal" is exactly what i wanted to hear, thanks.

can anyone give me a list of what the other behaviours do?

i could also try "stagnent" as i presume this makes the AI really passive, the byzantines are set to this and they never amount to much in a SP game. but rebal is better.

the reason i'm asking this is me and a few friends wanna play a MP campaign and in practicing with myself i found the AI making its own decisions over my moves, so i wanna dumb the AI on the factions my friends are playing so that doesn't happen. i know i could turn off all the AI but we wanna play a GA game so there is more stratagy involved than simplily beating eachother senseless.

i didn't mention the MP campaign thing before incase i got laughed at. personally i can't see this not working, cause as long as we don't cheat and the AI doesn't interfer with our factions it'll just be a normal game.

thanks v much

Scott

but switching it to rebel has no effect for the following reason rebels will take advantage of a situation such as leaving a province ungarrasioned.
thanks dessa

That is true Dessa14 they will attack ungarrisoned provinces. But am I right in saying that they wont build building and additional units? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

nope, i tried it and they made stuff like castle upgrades, inns farmlands ect. and they trained presants.

but they didn't attack anything.

its still a dramatic inprovemtn on its behaviour tho. i'll keep u posted on how i get along.
