A citadel in Tripoli ?

The french GA "The krak des chevaliers" seems impossible to realise in due time.

I would be interested to know if some have achieved it and, if yes, how.

I tried several times but when you have to start a crusade that early, you have no boat and reaching Tripoli on foot, crossing the Byz, Turkish and Egyptian territory is quite an achievement of its own.

It's really not so difficult, but you have to follow a strict plan right from the start. And of course you will need a lot florins and a little luck.
