OK let me get this straight, you want the AI to not be able to be able to build, get, use any siege weapons? correct, well you dont need to delete them actually, you can change some settings in the gnome editor that would make it difficult, undesirable, impossible for the AI to build seige weapons, but then these would fall on you as well, for non campaign battles go to column 71 last column in gnome editor and edit the faction association of that unit, for campaign battles you can increase the production and support cost to make the unit undesirable for the AI to build, also for campaigns column 50 faction association, you could make it available to a single faction only, so these are work arounds, and may seem drastic but they wii have the desired effect..LOS

Delete?
Well, if the AI brings siege weapons to the battle that's the AI's problem... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Seriously, if you really want to delet them, open CrusadersBuild and CrusadersUnit in WordPad. Then delete the lines concerning siege weapons (CrusaderUnit) and building facilities for those weapons (CrusaderBuild). But be very carefull not to delete anything else If you do the game won't start or if it starts you may experience a CTD.
I hope this helps... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

If you really want to improve the AI's armies edit the building bonuses in Gnome Editor.
If a unit get a bonus for being built in say Wessex then the AI will build towards that unit. Now to make it happen a little faster you can decrease build requirements, for instance if you want to the HRE to get really powerful only require the citadel to build Gothic Knights and add Gothic Knight build bonuses to a couple of provinces in Germany. The process is discussed extensively in the following threadBetter AI Build Choices (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=26;t=10144)
If you eliminate siege weapons you are going to really hurt an entire part of the game. Say that you have a tiny garrison in a province with a castle, 5 archers, and the ai invades, you retreat to the castle. The AI will have to storm the castle to take it. Without siege weapons they will lose a lot more men then they would if they had them. Same goes for you if you need to snatch up a province in a hurry.
The AI most deploys its siege weapons in defensive battles, where they can actually do some good. A trebuchet can demoralize a mounted unit from a long way off and sometimes it gets lucky and kills your general. I would not discount the annoyance factor of advancing against a few siege weapons.

I would strongly advise deleting entire units from the build prod file especially when using wordpad, unless you are really experienced this can cause more trouble then its worth, when you can accomplish your goal by less drastic means...LOS

He's right. Don't do anything in Wordpad unless you are really confident about your modding skills. Download gnome editor from the org download page and try to reassign an unit or modify AI build priorities before you take a unit all the way out of the game. Remember the law of unintended consequences. Good luck and back up everything.
Thank you everybody

without siege weapon, assault castle is stil cheap with auto calculate And fight every castle battle manually is just too much time And I usually don't assault fortress without siege things, unlike AI
Actually there is another way to make it less desirable for the AI to build any siege weapons (or any other units).
Column 15, Unit choices (AI) - Personality Label + integer is where you can make it so that the AI will favor building certain units more or less then others.
By increasing (more) or decreasing (less) the values, e.g. POVERTY_STRICKEN(220) to POVERTY_STRICKEN(440) or POVERTY_STRICKEN(220) to POVERTY_STRICKEN(110), the AI will in that circumstance (poverty stricken) build more or less of the desired unit.
I'm still a bit new to this, so I could be wrong.
