I had a Grand Inquisitor running out of control in a province and since it was my next military target I needed to get him moved out, lest he decimate the population and make the province unprofitable.

So, I clicked on the GI from the agents button and zoomed to the province. The GI was behind the castle and several other units. I spent 10 minutes hunting and clicking trying to find the GI and send him elsewhere. I never could click the GI and he made the province a liability for the next 10 years.

Is there any way to bring one of your own units to the front of a stack? I think that if I could move some of the AI units around in the province I could have gotten a click on my GI.

It's frustrating to find your units behind unmovable AI units.

Thru the agent's button your agent should have his/her base highlighed with a 'active' marking sign. Look for the flashing bit, eh? Slide you view to one side or the other, you can usally find that (flashes on/off) if you zoom in close enough.

Usually works for me if I start every hunt from the agent tab. Repeat as neccesary, eh? Patience makes the diff.

There are 5 keys that I know of that work on the campaign map.

Z - toggles pieces, such as armies and agents, on and off.
C - toggles castles on and off
X - toggles between friendly and enemy units
V - provides info on the status of seas and oceans
Shift - provides info on province loyalty/happiness

So, as L'zard suggests go to the Agents parchment, select the guy you are interested in. Hit C, and then castles disappear. if you still can't find him, hit Z. After you do your thing, hit C and then z until the units reappear.

Apparently, ichi is the only one around here who actually took a look in the manual. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Pressign X is usually enough in most cases.

LOL

Actually, one day the cat walked across the keyboard (I had played right thru dinner time) in order to get my attention, and stepped on the lower right corner. I noticed something very different about my campaign map

So I went through all of the keys to see what would happen
