Hello all STW fans,

Its good to see that some of you old salts have stayed behind to keep the spirit of TotalWar alive

My former name was 'Madoka' or 'TenkiMadoka' or 'ShingiMadoka' some of you might recall this name and some of you won't.

However, I am glad to say that I would love to get back into this lovely game and community to re-live the old days if you will. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Now, if only I can get this darn desktop fixed.....

Once, again...a big 'HELLO' to you all. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Your,

Madoka

Hello Papewaio,

Your picture brings some vague memories. However, your name is still a mystery to me I am afraid. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

But, Hello to you too nevertheless. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

*OFFTOPIC
By the way, How come I can't post in the other forums???
(Did I miss something in the Terms of Service, or the like?)

Picture is the old 1000 posts and you are a Kensai job.

The new rules are that you have to go through the Entrance Hall. It stops spammers and flamers dead at the gates.

It is also a penance for people who get through and start flame wars.

Don't worry the moment Greogshi or another Entrance hall mod notices your first few posts you get promoted and can then run rampant.

Hello Papewaio,

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

Hopefully, as soon as I get my desktop fixed.
(it makes all the funny noises when I start the machine) I can return to the STW & Mongol TW game once again.
I am afraid I have much to learn yet again to catch up to you veterans in this game. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I noticed that some of the old clans are still around.
Quite a relief actually, to see the old salts still lingering around this ancient game of Japanese Feudal war.

So is the STW dying out or still being played? (I read somewhere in the forum that it is played after some hour in GMT)
I figured with the new games that have come out from CA people migrated to the more recent Medieval Total War or the Viking?
Would be great to see some of the old cheeky Ashigaru rushes some have mastered. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

As fresh as Lord Aymar, I salute you, fellow knight Err...or should I say samurai? Or perhaps you prefer to be referred as bushi? Oh, my head hurts... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif

Anyway, welcome back http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

8:00-10:00 GMT is the best time to play, there are usually 10+ people on weekdays and sometimes 20+ on sundays. Everyone uses 1.03 now...Ashi's are crap now lol http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Well a big Hello to you all http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

That is great concerning the peak hour of the STW madness.
That is actually quite ideal for my own time as well.
Since I do not get home until late and by the time I get enough courage to be beaten by the noobs (age wise :P )its already time to go to bed.

Mr. Voigtkamp,

It is 'Samurai', that is why I chose to play this game and the ingenious tactics that we are able to simulate on the battlefield.
You might recall seeing 'Knights of the Oracle' or 'Oracle' at some point, before the release of the 'Medieval Total War'
It was my weak attempt at starting something I could not devote myself into at the time.
But the Samurai blood is still lingering...hai.

Aymar de Bois Mauri and Shinano,

Thank you for the welcome and the info. Much appreciate it.
Domo.

Mr.Shinano,

You briefly mentioned the v1.03.
(I am guessing this is a patch for the STW game.)
I will search the forum for more information.

Thank you.

I see... I asked only because those more into it sometimes perfer to be called bushi rather than samurai (the one who serves), since bushi has more noble meaning than samurai, at least as far the Japanese are concerned

Have a good fight http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Hello and welcome back MadMad. Until you get bumped to business class, feel free to discuss anything you want in this forum. There is a good chance those with the same interests hang out in this forum too.

Thank you Gregoshi,

I still remember your clan 'Doragons' til now. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Its a shame that I didn't get to meet other fellow old timers on sunday night.

I will linger around more (in this forum as you have mentioned) to collect some 'airmiles' before coaxing the ticket counter lady to 'bump' me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm disapointed that the ways of the samurai are being deserted http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif but we must move on to bigger and better things http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/handball.gif I'm still sad that the comunity of STW is dwindling.

Hello Makkyo,

I understand your sentiment.
However, my definition of 'bigger and better things' are the STW Shogun Era.
Understandably I do know what you meant. We must move on
with the next STW revolution. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thank you for your input.
