I´ve been without MTW and VI for about 4 months now and it´s driving me crazy. Right now I´m an exchange student in Belgium, and my mom has sent me a package with some games in it, MTW being one of them. But because it´s the Christmas season and right now the post office around where I live is understaffed, things take forever to reach my house here. My mom sent the package two weeks ago today, so I´ve been waiting for it every morning these past few days.
I know I should be happy with all the real history I have at my finger tips, and believe me, I am. A town 10 minutes away from me is sorrounded by a Roman wall But sometimes I just get an urge to ride into a bunch of peasants with my knights, or I find myself dreaming of carving a united Italy with the Italians. It´s gotten so bad that now I am having dreams about horse archers and the whole shabang http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif Last night I kept seeing my archers firing into a nice juicy block of spearmen.
So maybe if you could all think of me tonight before you go to bed, it just might show up tomorrow morning in the mail http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Thanks for hearing me complain http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

The technical terms for this are addiction, and it's partner, withdrawal.
I frequently find myself unable to play for weeks at a time, away from home working. As I drive or walk in the woods I think, sometimes, about how I would deploy my troops on that hill, or how my cav could sweep through that meadow.
When I see a bridge I think I could hold that with a few OFS, Pikes, and CFKs. In meetings sometimes I draw formations on the back of handouts, especially when this one wanker is talking (we call him WhizBang, and I have built some pretty interesting armies while he droned on).
So I understand completely, mate, and I'll will fight a good one for you tonite. Soak up all you can in Belgium for me, cause I've never been.
Welcome The Org

With a whining guitar, sunglasses, and a sweaty face, you can make a great Blues song from that:
'Wo-o-oke up at 10 this mo'nin',
And the Medie-ie-val Total War package ain't arri-i-ved yet....'
Yeah, my brother, I can feel your pain. Maybe you can get members from the Vlaams Blok to wage total war against Abu JahJah...

Ok, I gotta make a decision. The package still hasnt arrived and I dont think it will for a long time. I was talking with my host-dad and he was telling me how the package delivery service is controlled in Belgium by the government, but now it´s switching voer to private businesses. This makes things more difficult for the workers in the delivery service, so as of now they are all on strike because it´s x-mas time and they can send a message that they´re pretty peeved.
So now, I´m on the verge of just buying the game over here instead of waiting. The way I see it, it wouldnt be quite so bad if I bought it. I have another friend over here from Hong Kong who is also an exchange student, and I´ve showed him all the MTW stuff and he really wants to play the game http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif Sooooo, after this year or whenever the package finally does arrive, I can give it to my friend as a gift http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif .. Plus I´m have more frequent hallucinations of English Men-at-Arms charging into French peasants. If I dont get a MTW fix soon, I´m afraid I might start living out my fantasies and begin lining up the first years at my school into battle formations and to hold their ground when the teachers come to take us inside for lessons.
Hope everybody is having a good holiday, or will have one wants the season gets a bit nearer http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/snowman.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/birthday.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/santa.gif

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif Hey, if I write a book about this kind off adiction, I would get stinkin' rich All those parents who don't know if it is good or bad that their son is so engrossed in battles of the past, and they would see this book on the store, and they would buy it, because it made them worry, and then on the advise in the book, they would buy Total War addiction packs.
Patented by Ludens Technology Inc., of course.
Now, I just have to think up a name for this book, and I'm in for the rest of my life. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you should develop some kind of 'Package Dance' it works for me. I don't knwo how I would handle not having MTW for more than a week You are a brave brave man, and I salute you On a recent date I found myself battling the coffee cream vikings against the salt and pepper shaker Kats. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif I feel your pain, I hope it comes soon man Until then sit on your hands and try not to go http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif

Maybe you could develop the first MTW board game in your spare time Print a high gloss board of all the provinces and little troops for armies and buildings for castle upgrades and cards to represent buildings - you could even go the extra mile and create battlemaps with thousands of plastic troops to battle with
or - you could just buy the game - I found my copies of shogun and MTW for under six bucks for both in a used bookstore.
