a campaign editor or editor for creating your own games maps etc. sorry to keep banging on like this but i am a novice. dragon 2003 says in a thread that he has a modified editor thats easy to use but i have been unable to find it or download it. i play other rts games suddenstrike2/forever being one[cdv/fireglow]this has an easy to use editor for making creating games and the interface to do this is very easy to use.[for a novice like me]i was wondering if there was a tool /utility for altering the campaign/ game editor to make it easier to use.
back to dragon 2003 i am sure i saw a pic of the interface of his campaign editor on his someone or elses thread.
i have been to his site and to the org downloads but nothing there. also as there are a multitude of downloads on the org site but which ones do i require if any?.i am really sorry about this but has i been to the files in MTW and i aint fiddling about with that http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif that is why i was asking is there a tool or anything to make create a user friendly interface with out screwing the game up and having to reinstall it all again.
the purpose? to make my own campaign example mongol unifaction of tribes/conquest of china or the periods before this the han dynasty /tujue empire any were from the period 475 221bc to the emergence of genghis khan/then to the middle east/europe etc.

Greetings Jimmy, I know the editor you speak of it was dragon 2003 campaign editor which automated the editing of the startpos files, I have a copy of the file if you like I can send it to you, as for campmap editors you need to read the realted threads in the repository on the LukMapMaker or LMM created by Wellington a superb program that makes new campmaps for MTW 1.1 and also can be adapted for VI, you can get LMM on the beta test section of 3d downloads, also theres another place to get files , junior members have access to a site hosted by Tosa Inu, when you log on in the left hand corner of your screen under your name and next to control panel click on files, this will bring you to a page with mods, tools, maps etc, click on tools and get a copy of readbifbuff22a this is a good bif reader which all modders use, and also click on stats to see mod files and more editing tools as well, Gnome editior is a very handy tool for editing the prod files , unit and building. many modders use this program... Hope this helped some seasons greetings...LOS http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/santa.gif
