As long as there are catholics, the Pope will be back to claim Rome. Therefore, be prepared to have a lot of training with the Pope.

I don’t think you can ever take out the pope permanently. I have read other people talking about trying to put him down, but he just keeps coming back with larger and stronger forces each time.

I’m assuming when you ask about transporting men on ships, you are referring to the ability to move armies between territories that are divided by sea spaces. This is quite simple. You must have a port in the province you are leaving from, as well as at least one ship in ever sea space between the starting province and the destination province. You can not make that move if the ships of any of the factions you are at war with, are in one of the sea spaces along the route you need to take. Also, I have found that you cannot land an invading army on the shores of an ally, if they have ships in the way (despite the fact that you can still use those sea spaces to attack others).

Hope that helps. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

P.S. If only two factions are attacking you, consider yourself lucky. In my last campaign, two was the number of factions that weren’t at war with me (and 0 was the number that were allied to me). http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
