Allright, the manual mentions that priests are better then emissaries when dealing with Christian daimyos, cause the other Daimyo isn't likely to hurt a churchman.

This seems to imply that it is in fact possible to deal with a particularly insult treaty request by sending the head of the agent back to his daimyo in a duffel bag. However, I could never figure out how to do this.

Is it possible to do that? Not just say no, but to send a message back to the other faction in the form of a detached head? If so, how?

I figured not, but wanted to be sure. Ah well, didn't waste too much time clicking on their heads anyways. Guess that's what ninja are for.

I think that every time you refuse a treaty, you are in fact sending back the other Daimyo's emissary head.

.....but i might be mistaken, it's been a while since i played shogun (never really noticed if the emissary disapeared from the campaign map after that)... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flat.gif

Don't think it is possible for the player, however the AI daimyos do this to your emissaries and you get a proper scene in your throne room.
