Hey there http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

First off, let me say that lurking here and reading the posts made by some of the WarMeisters has *really* helped me with MTW, as well as providing interesting historical discussion. I've been to many forums, and this one is cool and mature http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Now that my sickening sycophantic praise is done with, I just wanted to say Hi, and ask one little itty bitty question.

I used the search feature quite alot to try and find if there was a way to mod the amount of ammo that different units have *without* turning on the infinite ammo option. Even if this can't be done, I'd like to know at least for definite.

Anyway, thanks for reading http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

download the gnome unit editor.

Download the Gnome editor and make sure you either have the Viking Invasion add on or a copy of MTW patched to 1.1 as this makes the projectile_stat file appear for editing. Just open the projectile_stats up with the Gnome editor and it is fairly self explanitory from there. Make sure you keep a copy of the unaltered projectile_stats in case something goes wrong.

I've modded a few games before, and the first thing I turned to was the Projectile_stats file. I do have VI installed, and whether I use the Gnome Editor or not, I just can't see anything that modifies the number of shots a unit has (though I can see how to mod just about everything else&#33http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif. I must be having a huge blind spot moment here.

Oh, and thanks for the prompt replies http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

If you go to the unit prod file you can change the amount of ammo in column 42.

Welcome, Bardan the Slayer,

hope you'll stick around for longer time and not only for this info, as you have stated yourself beneath the topic title.

Eventually, you'll be needin' tips on modding R:TW too... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hello Bardan... welcome

I take it you are into novels by David Gemmel?

Is your name an indication of your style of gameplay?? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

And yep, I'll certainly continue to be a regular visitor here (even though I haven't had much time lately). At the very least, I'll continue to enjoy peoples' analysis of the Time Commander performances http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
