maddog, you gotta give people more than an hour to repsond. This isn't chat and not everyone knows how to mod, so you have to wait 'til a modder sees your post and has time to respond to it.

Greetings Maddog, what version of MTW are you modding?, this will make a big difference in wanting to add a new faction, as MTW 1.1 is more suited to overwiting an existing faction, and MTW VI is alot more friendly in this respect, so let me know, what version you have, and what you want to do, and we will see how we can help you.also you should do some topic searches in the Dungeon, the Repsitory and Alchemist lab have a wealth of info on the subject, so familiarise yourself with the info at hand, it can help alot...LOS

Well, right now I have the 1.1 of MTW, but I am getting VI for Christmas, so I might as well get all the info I can about making new factions for VI.

Well then Maddog the topic Gregoshi reffered you to should be enough to get you going with adding a new faction to VI, if you read it crefully you can follow our trial and errors step by step,that myself and many of my modding friends went through to establish a new faction in VI , it is pretty straightforward, The key to good modding is to Experiment, keep notes of your changes, always Back Up any Files before editiing, another Modding Maxim is to make a few simple edits then start the game, be sure your Mod title appears on the period select screen, then choose it start a cmapign and make sure your changes had the desired effect, this is tediuos but saves time in the long run, if you make alot of edits then try to run your mod and it does not work it will be very difficult to determine the cause, so I would also recomend you read this topic on making a basic Mod txt file
