I haven't noticed it before (so delete this thread of im just blind) BUt at the top of the totalwar.com news page they have a seemingly new paragraph stating that R:TW is on schedule for a "Fall 2004" release.

Fall 2004. Christ thats 9 months away. I have to wait that long? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

Perhaps they should sticky this thread at the top, because this must be the third discussion on this subject since I joined up last month. But perhaps this kind of repetition is unavoidable on a not-very-strictly moderated forum.

Anyway, there would be people who would overlook this thread if it was stickied on top, and named RELEASE DATE OF ROME: TOTAL WAR in inch high, flashing neon letters (to quote the legendary Frogbeastegg), to start their on topic in which they would ask "When is RTW going to be released?".

Other than that, Ashen, I share your pain.
Well, it will at least give me time to get my computer up to spec.

Somebody Else

Or most of us will be complaining about the few who upgraded their computers in time to play R:TW, whilst we have the boxes sitting in front of our outdated machines.

I'm a pessimist. And my computer's a year old already. And it's a laptop. I haven't a hope.

Fear not, fellow knight, the things will definitely be brighter than they seem when you glimpse at the R:TW clips… How much brighter, I couldn't tell, but, still…

PS Oh, sorry, I thought it was somebody else...

I'm fine, I think, the only thing letting me down is my Ti4200, and that's getting replaced some time in the next six months. By no means, and runs everything I need, but I want something with DX9 support.

Same here, but I don't intend on messing with the old G… Still some serious power in it, DX9 features can wait a little longer… There are none in M:TW, anyway…
