Recently I purchased METW, after having lots of fun with the singel and multiplayer parts of the game I borrowed the Viking invasion from a friend of mine, now whenever I try to log onto gamespy it says my cd key is invalid ???
Does VI have a seperate cd key? My friend is on holiday now, and I don't think he would give it to me, but is there some kind of way to keep VI installed and still be able to play METW online ?
Thanks in Advance,
Gary

yes VI has a seperate CD key. You just enter it correctly and press enter. baring that, play online using your normal Medieval CD and you shouldn't have any problems
Oh, and welcome ^^

you mean I would have to have 2 instals ? 1 for each game ?
When i fill in my medieval cd key in the box it just says 'invalid'
yea I had the same trouble.
Right.
hit caps lock. Type in the CD-Key EXACTLY, including dashes, then, important press ENTER/RETURN
This will enter the CD key. Once you have done this, assuming you have a valid Gamespy account, log on and it should be fine. Make absolutely sure its perfect, caps lock and dashes.
Also, you install VI which mainly adds new files and stats, but I dont believe it affects the original game, which you can still play with the original CD, so you should be able to play either online with VI installed.

Hello gary. VI does have its own CD key. In light of your problem, I should warn you now - any discussion about obtaining a CD or discussion of hacks or any other shady dealings are forbidden. See the forum rules - link provided at the top of all pages in these forums (below the gray line).
I suggest you purchase your own copy of VI. It is worth the investment.
