Everytime I attempt to log into a multiplayer game using GameArcade, it stops responding. Also, when I attempt Single Player Campaign, it keeps sending me back to the ingame menu and closing itself. I have tried Defragmenting my computer several times, and changed my desktop settings to 16 bit 800x600. I have DirectX 9.0b, Windows XP, Pentum 4, 256 MB of RAM. Please help

Welcome to the Org ViolentSky http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Perhaps you can furnish us with a bit more info about your system. What video card are you using? Do you have a Soundblaster Live sound card? Are you using hardware acceleration or software in the sound options? There are many more possibilities and if you give us a few days some of the more knowledgeable tech peeps will likely drop by and offer some possible solutions. I know you feel http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif and http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif but keep the faith http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hello ViolentSky.

In addition to what Jacque said, what game are you having trouble with and do you have the latest patch? Also, have you tried getting into the GameSpy foyer through the game itself? It is a much better way to do it that getting all the extraneous stuff by going in via GameSpy Arcade.

Sorry I didn't fill you in, I wasn't sure what kind of Video Card I have and all that other jazz. I know I know- how doesn't he know that? The stuff that I do know is that I have Windows XP Home Edition, an Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 1.60GHz Processor, Processor Speed of 1.56 GHz, 256MB of RAM, and OS version 5.1.2600. Oh and I play Medieval Total War. And I have DirectX 9.0b. The Video Card (I think, I'm not so computer savvy ) is Rage 128 PRO Ultra GL AGP (Microsoft Corporation). I think that's what it is. If there's anything else you need to know, ask and I'll try. I really appreciate you tryin' to help. Thanks guys.

Whoops Sorry VS, this one slipped through the cracks. Any update for us? If not, I'll move it to the Apothecary forum for some of Krae's TLC.
