Silianat,
Its OK, if you want my opinion, I think your the king of spammers. HeHe. It seems like if you want to do anything here you have to get a share of posts under your belt, whipe your eyes. There is always hope, in about ten years I will finally be able to post my Silmarillion:TotalWar thread in the dungeon.

Not true aravin. In fact, spammers take many more posts and usually a longer time period because there is nothing in their posts for us to evaluate. This last batch of promotions included some Junior Patrons with only 8 posts, others with about 20 and at least one with about 40. Also, don't mistake high post count with spam. There are some (new) patrons who post a lot and whose posts have something worthwhile to contribute.

In the last few months and this past month in particular, we've been slower in our promotion process than we like - or you like either. For that, we apologize. Please don't think we are shallow enough to be fooled by a high post count - content is the key and the only key to promotion. We moderators actually read what you Junior Patrons are posting. We need to read enough from a JP to get a feel for what kind of poster they are before we promote them. And before you think I'm putting down Silianat, I'm not. Sure he spams on occasion - each spammer has their reasons for doing so - but he's also made quite a few, non-spam posts that contribute to a discussion too. What the spamming did for him was made it so that he had over 60 posts before he got his promotion when, in fact, 10-20 of his posts were really all that was needed. Feel better? Silianat, I hope you don't mind me using you as an example. You were just handy as this was your topic.

Now, about this Silmarillion: Total War mod, as a JP you are allowed to reply to topics in the Dungeon - Alchemist lab forum. So, if you wish, make a separate topic about your mod with whatever information/questions you wish to share and ask the moderators to copy it into the Dungeon - Alchemist lab forum. We will then do so and if anyone replies to it there, you can then respond to them there. Okay?

Final note: the Queen of Spam has ties to the Org but rarely post here. All others are just amateurs. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

The Challenger 2 is the UK's main battle tank, and as such its key function is to destroy enemy tanks.
It has a good reputation for reliability, although it has experienced significant problems during military exercises in desert conditions.

Improvements to air filters have had to be undertaken to enable the tank to function properly in hot and sandy environments.

CHALLENGER 2

360 degree tank tour

Built by Vickers Defence Systems, work started on the Challenger 2 in 1986 and the first units were delivered in 1994.

The new model has 150 improvements over its predecessor, the Challenger 1, which saw action in the Gulf War.

The UK has just under 400 Challenger 2s, some of which have been used in Bosnia and Kosovo.

The tank has a four man crew and an ability to target and destroy as many as eight targets a minute. Its fire control system is computerised and both the commander and gunner can locate enemy targets.

Speed

Its main weapon is a 120mm gun, which is capable of firing depleted uranium rounds.

It also uses armour piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot (APFSDS) and high explosive squash head (HESH) shells.

The tank carries two machine guns, one for anti-aircraft fire and a second for attacking enemy troops. It also has smoke grenades.

In addition to its Advanced Armour Technology the Challenger 2 also has a nuclear, chemical and biological attack resistant compartment for the crew.

As long as they have rations the crew should be able to remain in the tank for the duration of any chemical attack.

The crew compartment has an air filtering system, as well as a heating and cooling system, it is also separated from ammunition for increased safety.

The Challenger 2 is powered by a Perkins 26.1 litre turbocharged diesel engine, CV12. This gives the Challenger an average cross country speed of 24 miles per hour (40 kph).

well, Silinat, you are NOT the King of Spammers, I have made much more spam posts than you in the tavern (300 of them in the one word story and my various spam threads). So, to answer your question, you are not the King of Spammers, I deserve the title rightfully. You just claim you are because you are obviously trying to gain support for something.

...and the smell of SPAM wafted throughout the forums thus attracting all the self-proclaimed kings of SPAM as sure as playing Hound Dog brings out the Elvis impersonators. When all the kings were gathered, they went about to each other throwing down their tin keys in challenge. Emoticon were tossed around as they expounded to great length the crowning achievements of their SPAMming careers and why they are the one worthy of being the King of SPAM.

Meanwhile, the True king lurked and laughted at the multitude of pretenders. He remained silent as the time was not yet right for his revealing...
