How many times it was that copm controlled forces decided they couldnt have won the battle and retreated (although they could have fought to weaken the invading army - something I always do if not outnumbered more than 3 to 1 (well maybe not always).
It really makes no sense to me (and I'm sure to many of you too) that the AI decides to retreat so often, leaving even its most valuable provinces behind. It should fight (in many cases it might even win the battle - when the battlefield happends to be divided by a river or if they defend in high mountains or so).
So my question is - is there any way (other than reducing the army you are planning to invade with) to make the AI not retreat as often as it does - I think its especially important in conflicts between comp controlled factions (they give away their provices way too easily).
As I suspect the answer to my question is "no" or sth very close to it, but maybe its not?
I would love to become surprised at least this one time by the AI general who would shout in front of his 100 men army facing thousands of my bloodthirsty peasants: Victory or Death
