Try this link:
Flags of the world (http://flagspot.net/flags/)

You can find many historical flags and Coat of Arms here.

I couldn't find the 13th century, just the 14th century one. Any other ideas? I have really tried but i just can't find it.

the first bulgarian c.o.a. according to one source was a lion rampant, gold, gold crown, green tongue and nails on a purple background - later the background (or field) changed to red, possibly due to influence from the west (red is a more common heraldic color)

apparently, bulgaria toyed with a three lion motif at one point (like england), but the one lion is predominant

whether the flag was the same as the coat of arms is anybody's guess as far as i know

Actually, England's lions seem to be leopards.

Sounds weird I know but that's what I was told :D

At different times they're called lions and leopards. If I recall correctly, the 3 lions originally represented England, Normandy, & Anjou.

In Richard I's case, I think they were called lions; but his nephew Henry III called them leopards, and kept 3 leopards at the Tower of London (given to him by Emperor Frederick II in honor of his arms, 1235).

Heraldically-speaking, I think if the animal was rampant, it was a "lion"; if passant, it was a "leopard". http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
