Hi, I looked through the forums but could not find a topic on this.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to change a governor of my province from a Low acumen unit to a higher acumen unit without disbanding the governors unit?

See...I am playing as the Egyptians and I was looking through my units and found some like 5,6, and 7 acumen units So I put these fellas in charge of the high paying province (I put the 7 acumen guy in Antioch and now it yields 5000 florins a year&#33http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif but first I had to disband the previous governor unit to get that little title thing back. Some of these units I considered valuable but thought I could expend them to churn out a grand or two more florins.

SO....is there a method besides disbanding to get that governor title back?

You can always try to assassinate your general http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif

You can drop an emissary on the general with the title to remove it. Of course, the general will not be happy about this development and will suffer a drop in loyalty.

Also using a spy to fake a treason trial and using an inquisitor to burn him.

Yer as gregoshi says; Just drop one of your own emissaries on the general in question and it will give you the option to strip him of his title.

Why not send him to fight and die for your fraction.
For example send this general with a couple of other by the ship deep into the enemy lands. If that province is lightly guarded he may capture it, distroy every building, draw enemy from the front line, and then die when you refuse to pay random after he is finally captured (if not killed before).

This is the simplest and the most certain solution to this issue. Enough said.
