View Full Version : Region Data File
Where is the file that has the data for each region?
I want to edit certain properties of certain regions. For example, I want to have the maps that come up when an army attacks between Wessex and Flanders be one of the river ones.
Total War/Campmap/startpos/Early, High, and Late.txt has this info, but I'm not a modder.

thanks, I found it. Just curious what you think about that. The link between Wessex and Flanders being just like a normal land link seems not right. I mean, it isn't in reality, and it's one of Britain's greatest advantages, being an island. I guess the option is between having the battle take place on a River map or just severing the land link all together. For right now at least I think the River map is the best compromise.
If you don't like Wessex and Flanders being linked then you could try the MedMod. One of its smaller changes is the severing of that link.
If you wanted to sever the link yourself then the info is in the same file as above, just comment out (// before entry) the entries in the SetNeighbours:: area of the file, then you will have the more historic reality of having to control the English channel to invade France (or England).
yep, found the file and the part that needed editing. While I was in there, I also required river maps when Trebizond or Nicea try to invade Constantinople, but not vice versa. That seemed a historic error that needed fixin too.
Also, where is this MedMod and info on it. I've been looking for it but haven't had any luck yet.
You can get the MedMod from WesW Site (http://wes.apolyton.net)
