No, the game will be released in FALL 2004. They probably have a beta-version from the publisher, which they are going to review. This is not fair, since a beta is far from done. But some magazines do this kind of things to attract more readers. I remember that the Dutch PC Zone had reviews of games which were only in the stores six months ( ) later.

Yes, but the PCZB meant 'preview' with it. As does the PCZUK, probably...

Well reviews are done with the finished product previews are done even if the product aint finished..sounds a little to early for a review though, if its true its all good to me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It's probably a quasi-review. Remember, CA says the game is essentially done, but they are spending the next six months polishing and constantly improving.

I doubt it is only a preview, otherwise they wouldnt say "hands on"

Don't say it Six months polishing and tweaking while the game is "essentially done"

Oh, so you would like a bug-infested game with unbalanced gameplay and which can't be run with any speed on anything but the most up to date computers? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Seriously now, too many games ar being thrown on the shelves without first being thorougly tested, just to grab some quick dollars. I'm glad that CA at least takes the time to sort out these issues and take care of details. I want RTW to be the best game I've ever played, and if they need another half year for that, so be it.

i just wish they hadn't announced this game over a year ago. that was just cruel. knowing they needed all that time for polishing it and stuff. i too want a bugfree game and am glad they're thoroughly balancing it, but why oh why did they have to announce it so soon.

This would be the PCZone who printed a review of Counter-Strike Condition Zero some time before Christmas.
