Rebelling providences

Has any had rebel providences go over to your side when you get a best of something. Is this part of the game or am I imagining it?

It's never happened to me but I've heard of this happening before.

I think I once had a rebel faction join my side--but I don't recall seeing a pop-up about it or any message. It was just that a rebel province went from grey to green, and the troops were mine to control. Since there wasn't a pop-up message, I figured it was a bug or something...

If you ever owned the province then a rebel province after awhile will go back to one of its previous faction owners. I have seen it happen both to the AI factions and to my own.

Generally it occured after a rebellion and about half a dozen provinces would join a faction at the same time.

Generally it would go back to someone who was having the snot beaten out of them and seems to be a game balancing method.

In my english game I happened to get all the countries from Finland to Khazar the rebels just came to my side when it said I was strongest
