OK, you people have convinced me to part with some hard earned cash and buy the WE.
My question is:
Did they fix the lame-ass castles in the WE?
I have to agree with earlier posts in that the castles were the only part of the original game that the developers really let us down.
I presume that this is really due to the complexity of designing a castle-battle-game. Certainly it would vary a great deal from a field-battle game.
Am I going to be able to put archers on towers and battlements and pour unpleasant things down on people who try to force the gate...and speaking of which, ARE there any gates? Do they have to have siege engines to bust in?
I wouldn't be bothered by more buildings, but they would have to allow units to enter the buidings and such.
As to the complaint that you can't fit 5000 men into a small castle... well, what do you expect? You certainly should be able to put that many (and more) into a citadel though.
