View Full Version : Efficient use of a work day

I have come to the conclusion that my work day would progress much faster if I was able to play shogun while at work.
The real trick is to make it look like I was working... Not sure how this could be achieved. Can we get a "quick text" button added in the next patch that would cover the screen with meaningless faux accountiung numbers whenever a boss walks by?
Better yet, if there was some way to have it automatically cover-up the game whenever a boss passes within 50 feet... That'd be greeeaaaat.

Tell your boss that the person you are fighting online works for a competitor. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

LOL but then he might steal the game and play it on his own machine saying it was against competitive companies! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif

You can just tell him to requisition his own copy from IT.

That's what "Alt-Tab" combo is for.
Run another application in the background, make if full screen to cover everything.
Then run STW, if the boss is nearby, hit the Alt-Tab combo to switch.
The "cover-up" application can be anything, simple textpad will do. However, if you have some powerful computer, you can even run something like words http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Or... you can open an app you use at work, take a screen capture of it while it takes the whole screen, then use that image as your background... this way, even when you have nothing open, it looks like a window is open! Make sure you include the window boundaries. Heck, even if it doesnt take up the whole screen, it will look like the window is open.
But... if the "icons" get in the way and make it look "fake", make the image smaller and include a transparent zone where the icons will be... it still looks like the window is open... and you see your desktop icons where they should be. Unless you're one of those wackos that have icons all over the place... http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif
