Hi all. I'm making a new campaign mod for MTW/VI, and I want to have it focused on the Mediterranean World (Italy, Byzantium, Spain, Arab World). I want to know how to make certain factions rebel (like the Aragonese, French, Spanish, etc.). Can somebody tell me what to do so I can continue making this mod? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif thanks a bunch

You might try under Faction Behavior heading in Startpos and set the faction to REBELS(Which is an available choice), Not truly sure though never did it myself, but seems logical...LOS

No, as in I don't wish to have the faction active. How do I do that? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

OK Then I misunderstood what you were trying to accomplish.
To "Deactivate" a Faction:
1= under SetActiveFaction : add these lines before the command line for the faction you want REBEL //. Then change to Minor status.
2= add those same lines // (these neagate any command line they are set before) in the SetRegionOwner: headings to the Provinces belomging to the Faction you chose.
3= add // Before the SetStartLeader: command line for the chosen faction.
4=same for PlaceLeader:
5=//AddHeir: for any Heirs associated with the province.
6=Then check any Units associated with the Faction/Province and remove, change or simply // any you do not want the Rebels to have.
7= Finally // any Agents associated with the province as well. I.E. Emissaries or Princesses, if left in the game will Crash...
