How do I use the "members download"?

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif A moment ago I tried for the first time to download something from the members download of the org. This because I'm tired of having to wait an hour at 3D downloads just to start downloading. But the Takiyama downloads somehow didn't function. Whatever FAQ I clicked on, I just got an explorer-screen with a pretty picture of a waterfall. All very nice and artistic, but not the thing I was looking for.
Am I doing something wrong?

Hm not the first time I have heard that one http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

I know some who had this problem fixed it be turning off their firewall.
