View Full Version : How to transport troops with ships?
Hi I can't figerout how to transport/attack with ships...thx ;)
You need to have your own ships in every sea area between the province you are leaving and attacking. Also you must control the sea area, or you will be blockaded.

Welcome to the ORG imax http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
As to your question, do all what kiwitt said plus the fact that your troops must embark from a port. Without the port they will go nowhere.
http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Hi ;)
What you mean is that I need..say to cross from Sweden to finland 1 ship on the sea outside Sweden and a ship in the sea outside Finland?
Or do I need a line, like when I trade?...thx :D

You need an unbroken line of ships (enemy ships may blockade you breaking the line) going from the province of origin (your province) to the target province. The province of origin MUST have a port, it doesnt matter if the target provicne has a port or no.
So yes, in a lot of ways it si just like setting up a trade link.
Yes. A line of sea regions controlled by your ships.
Also rememebr if succed to build a port as soon as possible so you can move your troops elsewhere
