Historical Campaigns

When I play historical campaigns (for anybody) the first one, two, or three are easy. But then you get into these seemingly impossible battles (outnumbered AND having to clear out a castle etc)

How do you win?

just take our time(if you think tha you lose bacause of the time just put it off(i dont see in real live to tell you you have only 12 minutes to win the battle if you take more time than that you lose http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-inquisitive.gif )

take you time, have a lot of patience
