EA finally killed the MI/WE server, but the original STW server is up again (weird, but true).

Those who have MI/WE can now use the STW server when they change the chatserverport in the internet.cfg file from 8794 to 8793. They must use their original STW CD key and online name/password.

Now the problem is...some only have the WE (Warlord Edition) version, they don't have an original STW CD Key.

I know it's basicly illegal to ask for CD keys inhere (a moderator can close this posting http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ), but it's a key from a "dead" game and it's to help out those who have a legal WE version of the game.

My question:

Those who own STW, but don't play it (online) anymore can help out those who have WE by giving their CD key to them.

Please post it on the Masterless forum.

STW (the Original) sells in bargain bins for less than five quid, it was also a better game. Nobody hosts Mongol games.

I can't understand why you would play MI on the Old server when you have the opportunity to play STW again

Dont forget about the Fakeserver program that allows you to play games without any official server at all

(only for MI/WE and Shoggy, not MTW).

Oh man, it's been a long time.

This stuff confuses me.
so if I want a game, what is it best for me to do? Just reinstall the original STW? or faff about with changing these serverport thingies and play MI?

It probably wouldnt be very often but it would be nice to play online again.
