I would like to thank all of the people who made our night of play enjoyable. We played several 4v4 games with and against old friends and had a great time!! We will be doing it again soon I am sure!! Obake, Polar, and myself had a great time! Thanks again!! PS. My routing skills have not left me!! My Nike contract is safe. LOL

No Puzz, unfortunately I was undefeated for the night!! Obake even got less kills than me in most of our games but one. What a dissappointment that was, but I will practice and regain the Crown of Mediocrity back from Obake and become the big loser of Shogun once again!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Sorry you couldn't be there Kocmoc, we missed you and Magya and a few of the other vets of old. The first step in becoming Ugly is to truly admit to yourself that you ARE Ugly, It's not just your sarcasm.

as Nike has been unable to reach Elmo due to his frequent absences from the server, and because of his frequent wins, the Nike representative has contacted me and informed me that they are looking for a more 'representative' contact as their sponsor in our community. it seems, that with elmo's better win to loss ratio lately, he's not been wearing out enough rubber, and thus Nike is looking for someone new. i understand that the Adidas contract is also currently available.
applications for both companies may be entered here on this forum. Nike and Adidas monitor this forum constantly and will contact the appropriate candidates.
the qualifications are that you must lose a high percentage of your games through being routed...dead personnel dont wear out rubber, nor demonstrate the speed advantages given in wearing the companies respective products. personal appearance does not matter, as witnessed by earlier contract holders. personal hygiene also is not a qualification, nor is sexual preference, as again witnessed by the former gay, smelly, fearful monks of said former contract holders. applicants shld be able to rout from the battlefield, en masse, at the drop of a hat, and be able to cause massive cascade routs of all or most all of one's comrades, including members of allied armies. this is the single highest quality for acceptance.
applicants must be willing give up their current lives and live on the servers. attitude is also not a criteria. clan affiliation is not a criteria, however, an entire clan that meets the above criteria will be considered over a single applicant.
all advertising is to be done by the applicant. jeering, baiting of enemies, taunting and other associated badgering is more than welcome, providing that the company name is mentioned in such actions.
compensation is to be in the form of the company product in outfitting your respective armies in footgear, at the company's discretion. no other compensation shall be forthcoming.
applicants may be of any age or gender and all of the other non-discriminatory type actions apply here. (they really dont care as long as you wear out their footgear and give them credit).
as for the former contract holders, the companies wish them well (at least for PR reasons) and say a fond farewell.
and as for me, personally, i had the pleasure to once again play an UGLY game last night. good to see ya again, elmo ;)

Which night was the undefeated? As I recall one over the weekend where a charging Shingen, Aggony and Fear had you resigning with Nike :P
BTW it was great to see you guys on again.

Puzz, Annie did thump me bad, but if I remember correctly, I had to send you a courier stating that I was winning over her and that you had better send you cav units to help her flank me. Thankfully he arrived in time so that you could keep me from routing poor Annie. I have a screenshot of that game and have sent it to Nike so that they can see that I still have the talent and the drive to be the first warriors off the map due to their wonderful footwear!!
Kraellin, I am like the Anti-Michale Jordan of shogun . . I may have retired, but I still have the talent and ability to outrun any enemy off the field of battle!! :P LOL

I will be bluntly honest with you regarding your campaign. The likelihood of having the Ugly's join is at best remote.
It has nothing to do with you, or the campaign itself. We have learned hard lessons from our previous experiences with a campaign while many of us still played as members of Fearful Ways. The potential for problems, both internally and externally far outweigh the benefits that a Clan-based campaign provides and we will not risk the camaraderie and friendship that we have worked so hard to build.
Beyond that, our visit last Saturday night was just that, a visit. As I'm sure most of the community is aware, we have taken a break from Shogun and are currently conquering other lands as well, keeping our instincts and our weapons sharp until such time as Medieval is released. At that point, we shall return and what the non-Ugly online players experienced Saturday night will once again become common occurence.
For those of you who missed it:
Elmo's army will run stark raving mad into the enemy (naked of course). The sight of his army's unclean arses will at once utterly disgust us (his allies) forcing 3 full armies to vomit their previous evenings meal.
Our opponents will spend much time just wondering what the hell those little things are bobbing in the wind as 1000+ short, round and dirty peasants wearing nothing but sneakers come running at them at full speed screaming at the top of their lungs. This sight will in turn cause most of our opponents men to just fall down into a quivering heap, unable to endure the sheer terror that is Elmo's army.
About 200 meters short of what's left of our opponents (those that didn't break down and collapse during the rush), Elmo's men will lose all of their energy and stand there wheezing and gasping for breath. At that point, any opponent foolish enough to advance on Elmark (and I highly recommend AGAINST this) will be rewarded by his men turning tail and running away.
As a result, those opponents will lose their lunches as well. The combined smell of 3 full armies vomit wafting up-wind and the vision of Elmo's arse, I mean his army's arse will be too much and they will instantaneously rout with no hope of rallying.
The end result being that all of our opponents have either routed off the field or have passed out, while all of Elmo's men have routed screaming from the field (not to mention being exhausted) while his allies finally recover from vomiting only to see an empty field and wondering what the hell just happened.
You have been warned.
