HTW problems, help !

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post something like this, my appologies if it is.

I just got done installing HTW beta, the pathc, and start pos. I made a copy of the install instructions from the HTW website and followed them step by step.

Here's my problem. When I click my VI TW icon to start the game, it starts to load, it skips the intro movie and such instantly, as it goes to the main game selection screen it crashes, I don't actually ever get to see anything but the first CA graphic pic from startupo and then I get a CTD.

Any idea's on whats goin on or what I did wrong?

Like I said I followed the install steps word for word, made sure to check that both the map files reffered to in the install are in tga form now.

ANy idea's or suggestions are appreciated.

Hmm, that sounds strange if you really followed all steps of the guide.

Maybe your graphiccard-driver has a problem, or direct-x?

Go to the HTW download page (http://www.hellenictotalwar.com/pages/htw2pag.html) and read the text. There is a CTD patch and instructions for installing are on that page. The link to download the patch is at the top on the right side of the screen. Hopefully this will address your problem.
