Well firstly hello to all you total-war gamers.
Some I know and some I do not. After having said hello I would like to get to the main crux of the matter.

Many moons ago I was known under this name or more likely 1Master1Boromir/1Dread1Boromir and I used to visit the old forums and spend many happy and wasted hours pontificating and argueing with no-marks such as MagyarKhan and his cronies http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . Also devising schemes amongst fellow clan members http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-argue.gif
Anyway I returned with utter dismay on two fronts. The first being that I cannot remember my old name and password etc etc (If that could indeed be used) and secondly that I cannot post new topics anywhere having been an established member for two years
Having not properly read the rules, would it be possible to get access and post new topics just in the old STW rooms/forums??

Anyway, if I end up staying a while I shall be a good boy and behave so I get full marks in exams and therefore am able to post where I like http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-clown.gif

Good to see you all again.

Boro.

p.s. I can't believe after all this time some people have been everpresent.

Welcome back http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
I lost my old totalwar.org username & password too so I had to start all over again. Its a daunting task considering the place has changed so much & you can only post in the entrance hall(although I never had to suffer this shame http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Hi Boromir, firstly welcome back http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

I suppose you have two options, the first is to e-mail/PM Tosa and ask if he can re-instate the old account/enable the relevant privaleges on the new one. The second is to sit back and let the cogs of the entrance hall eventually grind out a promotion for your new identity, i'm sure if you ask nicely, I could put in a good word for you in the next promo discussion. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-smile.gif

The only thing i'd be worried about is the access to all the forums.... wicked (new) name Boromir Of Gondor and welcome back to the Org http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

(Don't feel too patronised by a relative noob welcoming you back) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

Hope you can get things sorted out http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Welcome back mate http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I think it would be easy to find your old account if you know which email you used with the account..

Basileus, I'm pretty sure my old email address was a hotmail one that hasn't been used for a long time. It would probably have been Boromir_of_gondor@hotmail.com

I'll try it too see if it works.
Oh, and I dont want the moderator rights& duties that I had before

Konnichiwa Boromir Of Gondor san,

Old accounts are still there (except for the occasional database hiccups). The Boromir accounts are still in the database.

There's a password retrieve system, there are several reasons why that can't be used anymore either (changed mail, forgot nick). A mail to tosainu@totalwar.org should suffice to solve the problem.

Crikey this suit ain't half dusty,
My Sword has gone rusty
and my musket's all broken and bent.
But hey never mind,
I'll see what I can find
Cos Magyar still owes me some rent.

Cheeky Monkey. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-party2.gif

I must admit I'm a little gutted that the STW server is down forever. That was where I was hoping to make a return.
Never mind.
