Egyptian Cavalry Barracks
Cavalry Barracks produce the superior horses that are needed to train horsemen for more advanced kinds of units. They include training yards where superior horsemanship can be taught to the men, and the horses schooled to face the noise and terror of battle (something that does not come naturally to them).

Do you think that we will have an option to place a building where we want in the town, or it will appear automated ?
with the real damage engine could be interesting put the most critical building in the center off the town ...

IIRC building placement will be automatic. I don't believe you actually see the buildings unless your city is under siege.
I would imagine the more important buildings will be towards the center of the town. How the engine will determine "importance" will probably be based on the "construction cost" of the building

I hope they give the effect in terms of numbers e.g. +10 happiness, +1 morale etc
I much prefer that to a simple 'Improves happiness', i like to see things in terms of numbers, but maybe thats just me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

It would be nice to be able to go to a view of a city from the interface. It may be pure fluff, but I always enjoyed having a look at my city in Civ.
It could have a little strategic value too. You could get to see the map you'll defend if you get to see some of the surrounding terrain. It's not as if you wouldn't know what the lie of the land was in real life if you controlled the city.
Infact you'd have maps and everything.

Yeah same here. Before VI I could never tell which building did what in terms of happiness and other bonuses, so I hope they write more than just "improves happinness". I want to know the exact ammounts darnit LOL http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-clown.gif

I think the happiness effects should be variable dependent on the local conditions.
For Example, If you build a tavern, yes you should get (arbitrary figure here) +10 happiness. It's nice having a tavern in the town for the local population to enjoy a couple of drinks after work.
However if there is a large army stationed in or near the town this bonus should be eroded or maybe even reversed. A large army and a tavern must lead to an increase in drunkenness and antisocial behavior. Thereby lowering the happiness effect in the town.
Maybe a mouse over popup box on the campaign screen could tell you the exact influence each building was currently having to the town.

Oh my God, that would make the game even harder to keep track of. I am satisfied if CA can depict the battlefield realistically. Realistic recreation of the influence of taverns on local happiness does not stand very high on my priority list.

Just think, a nearby army may be lowering happiness in the town, the kick back is they'll be spending more money so the collected tax would be higher. I could go on.
A functioning economy would be nice.
