Hello http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
I decided to take on a mamoth task and write a guide for sript writting in MTW that will cover EVERYTHING
As soon as I get back to my home computer I will edit this and get to work, starting with adding a new faction, in depth http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

While a noble gesture and a herculaen task at best I suggest you read this topic before starting any Modding Guide, understand I am not saying do not do it, but there are many variables to consider in putting such a guide togteher and no offense but this is not a task for one person alone. LOS

it would seem sir zack, that the two of us are working toward the same aim though my own complete script modding guide is only at the phase of collating information, and not of writing yet.

maybe it would be best if we two worked together on this....

theblackprince@easy.com modder and admin of TWC,

right now my laptop is back, i can start work proper
howes yours going?

i already have a
unit modding guide (kekvitIrae moddified version)
graphics guide (Duke John's definitive guide)
and faction guide(combo of mine and Lord of Storms)
names guide (my own)
editing unit and building stats (my own)

that tends to cover most questions i get asked both on .com and TWC

though i'll probably have to add a miscelaneous section as well

What about things like making historical battles/campaigns, modding AI behavior and modding glory goals?
Will there be nothing about them in your guide?

Regards
EC.

yes, modding AI behavior, where posible will be included.

glory goals, i'm still gathering info on, having never done it before,

i must admit no knowledge on historical campaigns, and neither has anyone expressed an interest in about them to me
