Germany-Glorious Achievements

I'm away from my home computer and working on a modded version of the Holy Roman Empire campaign. However, I forgot an important file: Medieval Total War/Loc/Eng glorygoals.txt

Can anyone please post a list of the German glory goals and the dates on which points are counted? Just from memory, I believe they'd include:

Hanseatic League
Holy Roman Empire
Drang Nach Osten
Hussite Crusade
Crusades
Homelands

Isn't there one where you have to reduce the heresy level in Wallachia, or somewhere like that. I think its to do with Jan Huss.

did you ever get a full reply plantagenet? i'd like to know also, event and dates of counting because i think my HRE GA campaign (VI w/patch) is not listing/counting all events. Up to 1180 now and all i've gotten is homelands, conquest and crusades. for a couple years it listed Holy Roman Empire goal to obtain certain italy provinces but then it disappeared?

I didn't get an answer that day, so I checked when I got home. I do have the complete list now though, if you want it (I'll post it when I get home tonight).

One thing I noticed: in the glory goals file, it lists 3 dates for "Homelands". But in-game, it lists and counts somewhere around 15 dates, generally every 25 years from 1100-1453 So I did find at least one case where the goals set in the file did not match the same goal in-game. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-dizzy2.gif

Anyway, are you saying they don't appear all the time or that they don't appear at all? Some of them only appear right before the date on which the points are counted...

GA goals vanishing at times is normal, usually those with multiple counting dates other than conquest and homelands only appear right before another of these dates is reached, but after the last regular counting date for conquest and homelands..

Could you also post specifics. I am about to start a HRE GA campaign too and the Glorygoals text has no detalis, like where to crusade, or what provinces you have to have for some of them.

Crusades: The Pope has guaranteed indulgences for every man that fights in Outremer (Asia Minor), defending the pilgrimage trails and claiming the lands holy to our Saviour. To go on Crusade is to march in the Glory of God. Points are counted between 1095-1204, and the following must be carried out:
• Successfully launch a Crusade to Antioch
• Successfully launch a Crusade to Edessa
• Successfully launch a Crusade to Palestine
• Successfully launch a Crusade to Tripoli


Kingdom of Germany: The heart of Germany must be defended against incursions. Points are counted (according to Glorygoals.txt) in 1204, 1320, and 1453 (but in-game: 1100, 1125, 1150, 1175, 1205, 1225, 1250, 1275, 1300, 1321, 1350, 1375, 1400, 1425, 1453). Control of these provinces is essential:
• Franconia
• Swabia
• Saxony
• Bavaria
• Lotharingia
• Brandenburg
• Austria
• Tyrol
• Holland
• Switzerland
• Bohemia
• Burgundy
• Provence

Holy Roman Empire: The coronation of Charlemagne in 800AD established the King of Germany as Emperor and protector of Rome. Points are counted in 1150, 1204, and 1250. To make reunification a glorious reality the Empire must conquer:
• Milan
• Rome
• Tuscany
• Naples

Drang nach Osten: The drive to the east is called for by your knights eager for new fiefdoms and titles, but will be fiercely resisted by the pagan tribes. Points are counted in 1204, 1260, and 1320. Imperial armies must control:
• Prussia
• Silesia
• Livonia

Hanseatic League: A powerful chain of German coastal cities, with ports and merchants uniting to dominate trade, offers vast wealth to the furtherance of the Empire. Points are counted in 1250, 1300, 1350, 1400, and 1450. Imperial merchants must:
• Control more than 2/3rds of North Sea Trade

Hussite Suppression: The Hussites (followers of Jan Hus) are warfaring heretics causing turmoil in the east and threatening to move westward. Defeating them will restore religious peace. Points are counted (once) between 1410-1440. Make sure that:
• Heresy level in Bohemia is less than 10
