I believe I used to have the exact amounts of influence of religious agents, bishops, cardinal, inquisitors, imams et cetera on the population, yet I cannot dig them up. I found nothing in PROD files, I seem to have misplaced that information. Does anyone know what they are?

I dont have the xact numbers but you could try doing a search in the forum, somethign should propably pop up
In crusader_unit_prod11.txt.....

Basileus,
Of course I did a search, but I couldn't find what I needed aside of the usual "bishops improve faith" and "inquisitors improve loyalty and reduce zeal".
*Ringo*,
Thank you for well-thought assistance, but this is just a copy of the bishop production line, of production cost, support cost, starting honor, number of men in the unit and so on… None of these figures says how much influence a bishop has.
I believe that there are exact numbers. For instance, a certain virtues and vices will affect the happiness of the province population in a certain amount, and I believe the religious agents work the same way. I just cannot find those numbers anywhere…

All the necessary information can be seen by looking through Crusaders_unit_prod11.txt with Gnome editor, it's in columns 66 and 67. I shall state it here... Note, all the entries are in percentages
Influence on Zeal:
Inquisitor - catholic(2)
Grand Inquisitor - catholic(5)
Ulama - Islamic(2)
Influence on faith:
Bishop - catholic(2)
Cardinal - catholic(5)
Priest - orthodox(2)
Orthodox Bishop - orthodox(5)
Mullah - islamic(2)
Ulama - islamic(5)
Hope this helps. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cheers.gif
Rev
Yeah, sorry i didn't have time to edit the post to make it clearer. But i highlighted the "catholic(2)" entry to indicate the influence of the Bishop as an example. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I guess i shouldn't rush to write posts while i'm at work http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif Of course it's a whole easier to use Gnome, but i hadn't got it to hand at the time so cheers Revenant69 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cheers.gif

Oh, my dear, I guess I rushed big time
*Ringo*, please accept my apologies, I was to hasty. I actually scanned the crusaders_unit_prod 11 and haven't noticed that it was in those columns; I suppose I wasn't paying enough attention, but I knew I saw it somewhere. Thank you very much
Revenant69, allow me to express my gratitude for your response as well, as for taking time to write down all those individual values. It has been very helpful, thank you very much
No apologies necessary http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif You can get me a beer in next time i'm down mead hall.... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cheers.gif

That is a deal, my friend

the info posted didn't jibe with my own experience with inquisitors, so i loaded up a game from last year and got some very strange results:
turn 1 Poland: zeal 64%, 2 GIs: 6 valor and 5 valor
turn 2 Poland: zeal 63%
turn 3 Poland: zeal 66%
very odd.
note: it just so happened in that save, that poland had no governor, so i assigned a gov with no V&V, 4 piety, 4 acumen, no dread. And poland was 100% catholic, no priest/bishops were in poland either. my ruler was not excomm'd, but i did hold around 95% of the map.
- I recall in the earlier phase of that campaign (aragonese, expert, high), that i used inquisitors and GIs extensively to burn down my opposition. It was during this time i noticed that if zeal was fairly low (less than 20% or so), then the valor of the agent equaled the increase in zeal. As zeal increased it became slightly slower. As zeal hit around 80% it moved up only 1-2% per turn, even if i had 3 high valor GIs sitting there. Does anyone else have any game data they could post?
I've noticed, while looking through the DEFAULT_HEROES.TXT, that there are stats for bishops, inquisitors etc. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-gossip.gif
Eg.
FACTION: French
HERO NAME: "Hugh Of Cluny" (Cluniac Monk Leader)
DATE: 1024 (i've found this to be the date of availability)
COMMAND: 1
DREAD: 3
PIETY: 7
ACUMEN: 3
LOYALTY: 6
V&V: zealot2,
TYPE: Inquisitor
FACTION: French
HERO NAME: "Jean Froissart" (Chronicler Priest)
DATE: 1333
COMMAND: 1
DREAD: 0
PIETY: 4
ACUMEN: 0
LOYALTY: 5
V&V: Educated2,
TYPE: BISHOP
So this, no doubt, will have an influence in the Zeal, Loyalty etc. of a province http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif
Does anyone know if this is the case?
Cheers,
*Ringo*
P.S Does anyone know if you can use tab in your posts for formatting? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
