I am happy to inform you that this also happens in regular vanilla MTW:VI. Last time it happened to me when I was French in SP and looted the "Eternal City" Constantinople http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-jester.gif Although I dont have screenshots as I thought it was a regular event.

I used to crusade a lot, but since i got Vi i have played mostly with Othodox or Muslim factions, hard to beleive i missed this for this long http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif , oh well, better to learn of it late then never http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Yeah i've had that happen a number of times mainly while playing as the byzantines & thats with VI patch. I've also seen some very weird crusade movements ie Italian crusade to egyptian antioch passes through turkish lands without having to fight because they are allied with them http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Thats supposed to happen when you pass through Byz land but not when passign through catholic land, never seen that myself. Might have something to do with medmod though im not sure

I have seen it happen to Catholics as well.

I was playing Almohads and was at war with the Egyptians. The French launched a Crusade against the Egyptians. I allied with the French and, sure enough, their Crusade was able to move though my Muslim lands and over my ships all the way to Tripoli in one turn.

I made peace with the Egyptians, let them kick out the French, then kicked out what was left of the Egyptians.

Then something even weirder happened.

The French declared another Crusade -- to liberate Arabia http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-stunned.gif I was besieging Egyptian sultan in the castle in Arabia at the time. I looked, but France had not declared war on me or the Egyptians.

I retreated from Arabia, which let the Egyptians resume control of the province. The next turn, France was at war with Egypt and at peace with me.

Yeah I just launched a crusade from Venice and I looted two provinces along the way, plus took one over permanently when passing through Turkey. I had to have my crusade wait there a year so i could muster some occupation forces, but it was worth it to have a profitable province over there. I ended up never even having to fight with my crusade anyway, so it wasn't a problem. The Egyptians are pussies in my current game...

It certainly does, its not a lot of fun when you are on the receivnig end for example playing peacefully as the HRE everytime the Frogs or the English crusaders feel they need a quick trip to someone elses ATM http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

I sent a crusade to portugal (I thought 10,000 men should be enough to keep the loyalty high http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif) and my crusade looted one of the spanish provinces (can't remember which one it was though) I thought that was pretty cool.
