Early Units

Can anything be done with early bodyguard units once the period changes ?

If you retrain the unit in a province capable of producing them, they should be upgrade to the version of the era - early royal knights will become high royal knights if you retrain them in high, ect.

I belive the first patch fixed this so you don't need VI to retrain your royal knights once an era has passed.

It must have, because I don't have VI, just patched MTW, and it works for me.
