Don´t you find it irritating that your boats and agents gets placed "behind" other factions units on the gamemap? I find it EXTREMELY annoying http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif
The logical thing would be that the human players units should be placed in the front of a group of units, right?
Is there any way around this? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-help.gif
The only way I've found is to kill off all other shipping ;-)
Not much help I know....

you could use the 'x' and 'z' keys to toggle the display of agents and other factions units on/off. And 'c' to toggle display of the castle. It is strange how the game decides to slide the player's pieces around sometimes.
This was brought up with the devs even before the first patch of MTW. Nothing was ever done though. No idea why. sometimes I have to zoom in to be able to find and select my agents.

That's the solution. Also, you can turn off "auto-tidy," or whatever the right command is, on the command menu beside the mini-map.
Finally, you can go to the "dagger" button that lists agents and find the agent in the province and highlight him by clicking on his name. At least you'll be able to see him.

You can also put your units somewhere else in that region, away from the normal rally point. You must do this in the turn they arrived in the target province, not in the movement turn. The game will remember their position and they will stay there as for as long as you don't move them to another province or they get attacked.
If you do, they will overlap with other units again and you have to select and move them to some corner again, using the aforementioned keys can help you selecting them.

I found out that you can also place a unit in a region and then you left-click on the region. I the next turn the unit is in the exact place that you put him. But if you build a unit in that province an that unit goes into that "stack" then the units will move to the origin-point in the province.
Anyway, I found this method easy and workable with all my ships and agents in foreign provinces - try it

The easiest solution I've found so far is to zoom in on the strategy map...
BTW, has anyone found a way to scroll down the agent list? I know "page down" wouldn't work: it's just so annoying to click it down name by name once you have hundreds of agents...

Scroll wheel on the mouse. Works with all lists. In VI, some lists even have sort option. Just click on the column header
