Im creating a few new building for my MOD. The current one I have is a TAX office, but when I came to add the description for the building I couldnt find where to put it.
My initial thoughts were it was in the DESCRIPTION.TXT file in the LOC directory. So I changed that, and guess what...
It didnt make any difference....
Does anybody know where the descriptions are kept ?

The building descriptions really should go into the descriptions.txt file. Are you 200% sure that the building tag in that file is exactly the same as the tag in the buildprod file?
I think we all make these little mistakes, so be sure to check it out. I had no problems adding descriptions.

What Ive done is.....
Due to the fact that my mod is going to be based on Catholic factions, we have a number of buildings that wont be used.
ie Mosque, so what I have done (bare in mind that the mod will be an overwrite) Is change the mosque to be a Tax office. Ive changed the images etc, but the one thing I cant seem to change is the text that comes up when you write click on the building. It still has the info about a Mosque against it.
I will post some pictures/ images of what I have later to show what I mean. I also thought, that the description was held in the descriptions.txt but I have changed that and it makes no effect http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif

Welcome in the mess that is MTW
Fixed it. There is a txt file called changes. MTW looks first at standard files such as descriptions.txt. After that it goes through changes.txt. If there is a entry for something it takes precedence over the entry in the standard file.
Changes.txt was made by CA to fix stuff at a later date.
In your case, there is a description for a mosque in the changes.txt. You can either delete that line (my preference) or alter that entry.
Good luck,
