Just love the vikings hit-and-run game-style in V.I. So is it possible to add this feature to the Danes in the main game and by reaching the high era they should stop looting and turn into a ordinary catholic faction?
This feat should really makes things a bit hotter in the northern part of Europe, don´t you think?

I believe it is possible ,but maybe not witht he DANES. As far as I understand it is something built in the FN07 faction number and hence HARD CODED.
Try as I might to get the abilty to pillage on any other faction I just cant get round how it works....
Hope that made sense.
Therefore if you wont to use the ability either you need to create a new faction using FN07 and then transfers all the Danish stuff to FN07. Or maybe change the Horde as they have the same ability to be Danes.....
All of this hard coded stuff is really annoying. There are things that are impossible to do because of it. I know that they can't just go giving all of the code away for various reasons but let us make changes like this Like why can't we make years go by like seasons like in Shogun. They knew people would want to.
I hope Rome is more moddable.

And it really bugs me that GA-goals are unchangable too. I´d like to have a game more complex than it is. What I really should do is to let EUII and MTW copulate and get an offspring with the best of two worlds. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-blush.gif

They already did...but the baby's waaay past due. They named it Crusader Kings. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Upside: much deeper diplomatic and dynastic development. Alot more provinces, and an actual feudal structure.
Downside: No tactical battles. Thats quite a big downside in my opinion. They could excuse it in EU2, HOI, & Victoria by claiming that in those periods, the King/Head of State did not lead armies in the field. But in the Middle Ages, he did. What a shame.

Well, a friend of mine is actually working at Paradox so I´ve been playing their games on beta-levels before the release and EU II is the only one I´ve actually bought. I just loved the EU II concept. And with MTW´s battle-engine it would have been a superb offspring, don´t you think.
