Won't Start the New Year Bug

It's year 1272 in my first campaign. I click to go to Year 1273. I have 3 battles to fight. Doesn't matter whether I fight them manually (I know, I did twice http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif ) or fight via the autoresolve, as soon as those 3 battles are over the screen returns to the world map and flick, the game shuts down.

Game, set, and match for this campaign I fear. I don't understand. I made it 180 years without a problem and now there doesn't seem to be any way around scrapping this game.

I had a problem like this once (except it was caused by bribing armies), try doing something different if you can ie. not sending an army to attack, have some more battles in that year. If that doesn't help try the apothecary forum

You may also try clearing any building queues,of any units or bulidings waiting to be made, this has helped in similar situations before...LOS
