Playing the Turks/Late/Expert, and having in each province a border fort, so that any assassin can?t go in and kill any of my man, it happened that in first 20 turns, in my 6 provinces, 5 times I have lost my governor. Why? Is it a bug or kind of AI pressure to chose catholic faction?..

It never happened with Catholic faction, ever

Also in those 20 turns I have several disasters (flood, earthquake, etc). So many, almost every year.
Not too many provinces, but too much ?nature? damages.

I know that Turks at that period of time are very powerful, but that?s not the way for AI to beat me just like that. Not fair

Hi
Don't know about the natural disasters...maybe since you're playing in late, it's just that the end of the world is nigh http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
On Border forts, I thought they could only stop one assassin each, so if the AI sends them en masse, some will get through. The answer is to guard the provinces they come in by with spies/assassins, although I'm not familiar enough with Turkish/late to know whather that's an easy thing to do

Also high valour assassins have a better chance to get by your border forts, it's possible that the AI sent only one 5 star guy to do the job. It's just the way it goes, sooner or later he'll be caught. You can increase the chance by putting more spies and assassins of your own in all of your provinces, they also will try to capture enemy agents...
