Ok, I want my Byzantine Emperor's name to be Constantine V

Here is what it says in the startpos file for early

SetStartLeader:: FN_BYZANTINE 0 7 0 4 7 1 3 10 1

Does anyone have any idea on how I change all of his stats? I would like to do the following

Change his name to Constantine V
Change his acumen
Change his command
Change his piety
Change his dread
Change his influence

Please someone help I'm all confused and my brain hurts http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

Ok, I'm a little ignorant in such matters but I found some info:

Grell the numbers after it represent how many Kings of a name have been previously. The number ties into the King names. Usually there are 8 Kings so you would get 8 numbers, except that 0's are left blank.

The third number gives the Roman numeral for the starting King because all factions use their first King name as their starting King.

*edit* Will add example to explain better.

Papal States(Early) have
FN_PAPIST 0 8 2 1 8 20 2 1 2 7

2nd number represents the number of names that the Papists use for Popes. This is also in the default_heroes.txt
3rd-10th numbers represent each of these 8 names by showing how many Popes of this name have ruled previously. So the next Pope Gregory (last Pope name) is assigned Roman Numeral 8 IIX.

When a faction just has 0 0 the factions is said to have had no previous Kings - the 0's for each name are left out.

Hi guys.

I'm looking at changing the properties of the leaders in startpos for MTW V1.1

I've found the section with SetStartLeader:: and then nine numbers after it. I've managed to find out what each of the numbers represents but I've no idea how most of them influence the gameplay. Can somebody please help me to fill in the gaps??
Many thanks in advance:

1 - Loyalty - Only the Burgundians have a 1 for this, everyone else has 0. What does it actually do?

2 - Accumen - Affects how the faction in general gains wealth. No idea what the direct connection between the number and wealth gathering prowess is though.

3 - Dread - Affects the King's Dread. Again, no idea how the actual number relates to Dread.

4 - Warcraft - I guess this affects command, not sure how though.

5 - Piety - Affects piety in some waay - again, no idea how

6 - vice_index - Affects how the vices are chosen

7 - virtue_index - Affects how the virtues are chosen

8 - virtue_index - For some reason there's more than one of these

9 - virtue_index - In fact, there's three - what on earth is that all for?

I really have no idea how the nine numbers for each leader affect the actual stats they appear with. For example:

The english get 0 0 2 0 0 2 1 2 0 in my campaign, yet teh actual stats are as folows for the first King:

Influence - 8
Piety - 3
Dread - 9
Command - 4
Acumen - 4
V&Vs - Autocrat

So what's all that about - in what way do those few 0s and 1s and 2s give me those stats?

Good luck with your mod, but I'd like to point out that there is already a dark ages mod in the air, that starts in the 8th century...
