Hi all,

For most of you this is old news. Just upgraded to WE from the original. Have played 3 custom battles so far. The new morale system is so absurd its almost funny... almost. I have 1 lone idiot chasing after a whole troop. The AI has become hyperaggressive. No wonder there were so many complaints about his version. I guess that was enough of a test. Time to install 1.02b. It was amusing for a moment though.

I think the MI/WE got the same problem as the original STW had before patch v1.12. Super agressive AI (sometime stupid too). I am playing MI version with 1.01 patch and here are some things that I found:

1. Shimazu clan is very, very aggressive. The daimyo always lead the big attack and got kill oftenly and stupidily. Shimazu clan also use only one or two units to attack a provine guard by a full size army and do it often.

2. AI Daimyo's are aggressive and often risk their live on the battle field to lead a charge.

3. On a hilly battle field, AI Taiso often seek a high, defensive ground both in attack and defend. Sometime they run right into my troops. Once, in the battle in Shinano, an AI unit deployed on the mountain. Half of the troop are behind my defensive line and the other half on the other side of the mountain.

I don't know if the 1.02 patch will fix those problems.

Well I installed the 1.02 patch. Everything seems to work much better now.

I was not entirely pleased with how the Naginata and the Battlefield Ninjas turned out in this patch, so I further modified them to suit my needs. They are both a little stronger now, which I feel is more realistic, nor do they appear unbalanced now.

While I agree that Naginata seems a bit slow in the new patch, but BNs are possitively deadly the way they are right now. I think.

I agree they rock... In a Ninja kinda way... but I didnt think they were realisitic or strong enough.

To make them just a little stronger I upped them to 15 members in the unit, 1/4 the size of a regular unit, rather than 1/5 the size. This actually allows them to take some casualities and still be effective.

To make them more realistic I doubled their ammo to 20... which is still unrealistically low and may get upped again. Remember they are carrying shuriken, throwing stars, those dont take up much space and carrying 20 would be very simple. Four small pouches on a belt would not affect ones sneak abilities. In fact I think you might be able to carry many more so I may further modify this one with further testing.

I can see why some would not like these but hey I'm not arguing for a multiplayer adoption. Just providing an intereting concept that I think works better and you all might want to experience.
